Virtual Dementia Tour experience

Virtual Dementia Tour (VDT)

A scientifically proven method of building a greater understanding of dementia through the use of patented sensory tools and instruction based on research conducted by P.K. Beville, M.S., geriatric specialist and the founder of Second Wind Dreams. During the Virtual Dementia Tour experience, trained facilitators guide participants through common everyday tasks and exercises while outfitted with patented devices that alter their senses. The Tour enables caregivers to experience for themselves the physical and cognitive challenges those with dementia face.

When dementia strikes it strikes the whole community, not just the individual. The impact of this disease on businesses, employees, and families in general makes increased sensitivity a societal imperative.

“The greatest form of respect we can give is to walk in someone else’s shoes.”
